You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or purchase a subscription. By using The Chartroom, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Description of Service

The Chartroom is an exam preparation platform designed to help mariners study for United States Coast Guard (USCG) OUPV (6-Pack) and 100-Ton Near Coastal Captain's License examinations. Our platform provides AI-generated and captain-written practice questions, study tools, and personalized learning features.

Important disclaimers:

  • The Chartroom is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the United States Coast Guard or any government agency.
  • Use of The Chartroom does not guarantee passage of any USCG examination.
  • The Chartroom is a supplemental study aid and is not a substitute for official USCG study materials or approved courses.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Do not share your account with others — each subscription covers one individual user.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or attempt to misuse the platform.

4. Payments & Subscriptions

The Chartroom offers monthly and lifetime subscription plans:

  • Monthly plan: Billed automatically every 30 days until cancelled.
  • Lifetime plan: A single one-time payment granting permanent access.

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. The Chartroom does not store your payment card details.

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will receive at least 30 days notice of any price change before it takes effect.

5. Refund Policy

We stand behind the quality of The Chartroom:

  • 30-day money-back guarantee: If you are not satisfied within 30 days of your first purchase, contact us for a full refund — no questions asked.
  • Pass guarantee: If you studied consistently using The Chartroom and did not pass your USCG exam, contact us with documentation and we will issue a full refund.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on The Chartroom — including practice questions, answer explanations, study guides, Captain's Log entries, and AI-generated material — is the intellectual property of The Chartroom and is protected by applicable copyright law.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, republish, or resell any content from The Chartroom without express written permission. Unauthorized use may result in immediate account termination.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Chartroom is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that:

  • The service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • Practice questions will exactly mirror current USCG exam content.
  • Use of the platform will result in passing any examination.

The Chartroom is a study aid only and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the United States Coast Guard.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Chartroom shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service, including but not limited to failure to pass a USCG examination.

In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid to The Chartroom in the 30 days preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service at any time. We will post the revised terms on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of The Chartroom after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
